The WT3-201M tester meets a wide array of standards for destructive testing, including those set by UL, ISO, ASTM, SAE, MIL, among others. It is also capable of performing non-destructive tests, such as applying a specific load or maintaining that load for a predetermined duration, in accordance with UL 486A/B guidelines. The device features programmable pass/fail criteria, complemented by visual indicators in red and green, as well as audio alerts, to easily identify samples that do not meet specifications.
This tester is versatile, accommodating a broad range of insulation types and wire sizes up to AWG 3 (0.25 inches [6.3 mm] OD). Mark-10 offers a pre-purchase evaluation service for samples, ensuring compatibility and satisfaction. The auto-start function initiates testing as soon as a wire sample is in place. In the event of a sample breakage, the tester is designed to auto-reverse, capture and store the peak force, and reset the display to zero, all automatically, thus enhancing test efficiency. The inclusion of a Profiles feature allows for the storage and recall of multiple test setups, streamlining the testing process further.
The device is equipped with internal storage for up to 2,000 readings, each timestamped with the date and time. Data exportation to a PC or another data collector is facilitated through USB, RS-232, Mitutoyo (Digimatic), or analog outputs.
Included with the WT3-201M is the MESUR® Lite data acquisition software, which is adept at compiling both continuous and single-point data. The software also supports a one-click export function to Excel for advanced data analysis and manipulation.
